Yingxiao Wang obtained his bachelor and master degrees in Mechanics and Fluid Mechanics from Peking University, Beijing, P.R. China, in 1992 and 1996, respectively. He received his Ph.D. degree in Bioengineering at UC, San Diego in 2002 and is currently an assistant professor in the UIUC Department of Bioengineering and a full time faculty in the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology. His research interests include the molecular imaging of live cell dynamics, molecular and cellular engineering, cellular biomechanics, nanotechnology, biophotonics, and cancer biology.

Honors: Research Recognition Award, The American Physiological Society and International Union of Physiological Sciences (2005); Caroline tum Suden/Frances Hellebrandt Professional Opportunity Awards, The American Physiological Society (2002); Graduate Student Research Award, Biomedical Engineering Society (2001); Guanghua Award, Peking University, P.R.
