Deborah Leckband received her Ph.D. from Cornell University. She is an associate professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the U of I and a part-time faculty member in the Beckman Institute 3D Micro- and Nanosystems group. Her fields of professional interest are molecular force measurements, biological interactions, bioadhesion, and interfacial phenomena in biology.
