Gregory A. Miller is head of the Beckman Cognitive Neuroscience Group and Director of the NIMH-funded Training in Cognitive Psychophysiology program at U of I. He received a B.A. in Psychology and Social Relations from Harvard University and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Psychology (Clinical and Human Psychophysiology) from the University of Wisconsin. He is a member of the U of I Neuroscience Program and the NIMH-funded Quantitative Methods Training Program and is a Professor in the U of I Department of Psychology and Adjunct Professor in the U of I Department of Psychiatry. His research is in psychopathology, emotion, and cognitive psychophysiology/neuroscience, with particular interests in identifying brain mechanisms involved in dysfunctional emotion/cognition and in method development for multimodal imaging. He supervises a doctoral clinical practicum on the psychiatric inpatient unit of Provena Covenant Medical Center, one block from the Beckman Institute, and a psychotherapy outpatient practicum at the U of I Psychological Services Center.
